The glorious 6, and chasing the sunbeams

I finished a custom order for 6 skeins of handspun worsted weight merino yarn for a very lovely german lady, who requested the yarns for a nightshift shawl project using a knitting pattern created by Andrea Mowry. However she didn´t want the earthy fall colors used in the original, she had a very specific color combination in mind. If you are on ravelry you can find the shawl pattern and more information here . Now, I am a true sucker for fall colors, you can sell them to me all year around, but the colourways my customer chose make an extraordinary and very interesting gang indeed! Here are the glorious 6:

From left to right: “Jungle 7”, 18.5 micron merino in lime green and bottle green, “Fairyland”, “Waterfall”, “Autumn Rose”, and “Bali Dancer”. Each skein measures 167-178yds (150-160m) per 3.5oz (100g).

Man, I would LOVE to see a pic once the shawl is finished! I will ask the lady very nicely, with a big cherry on top ;o)

The bulky version of these yarns are for sale in my etsy store. I spin them on a regular basis, and in case one is sold out custom requests are most welcome.

While I was packing up the yarns and today´s orders my little spanish girl was desperate to catch a fraction of the March sunlight – I swear the weather has been weird for March, first we get a whopping 20 degrees Celsius (me walking around outside in a T-Shirt and shorts…), and next thing you know it´s snowing….what the….???

So for exactly 12 minutes
Señorita Kitty was in sunny heaven, bless her.
