2lbs of hand painted super soft and super gorgeous yarns have made it out of my dyepot. There is pure merino lace, 50/50 merino silk fingering weight and ultra fine 16 micron merino, all superwash, mulesing free and dyed with eco-friendly dyes. They are now displayed in my etsy store:
I will be spinning fresh batches of thick and thin merino yarns next week, and there will be new lots of handpainted rovings shortly. :o)
The month of November is starting on a high note, I love it! As the days will most certainly become darker and duller quite soon let´s take in all the splendour of the autumn season, enjoy the magnificient colours of mother nature and take long walks out into the fields and forests. It´s absolutely worth it!
Notice the little ladybug…
I have not been idle these past weeks and hand painted new batches of my English Leicester curly fleeces, some Bluefaced Leicester curly fleece, I carded more super fine 18 micron merino-silk batts (gorgeously soft!!!!), and my 20 colour merino roving bags (24/6 micron) are fully stocked again. They weigh a whopping 255g (9oz) per bag and are perfect for felting projects, handspinning and dolls hair – very handy for beginners in felting and spinning as well. The fibre bags are displayed in my etsy store
Everyone have a very colourful and creative November!
The freshly clipped English Leicester fleeces arrived last week, a whopping 35lbs, and I have so far washed about 15lbs. The clean lots are now for sale in my etsy store and my DaWanda store. The curls are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for needle/wet felting, dolls hair, handspinning art yarns, hand dyeing and for embellishig/sewing. :o)
Just a quick update on what´s now available in my online stores, wensleydale fleece wise. There is still a good 25lbs of raw fleece to be washed and sorted. There will be less natural black fleece available than I thought, as the majority of the black wool has turned out to be a dark silver grey – yep, that can happen too. :o) If you have a very greasy black fleece there is no way of telling whether it will remain black/dark brown, or if it will turn into a grey beauty. The wool is first class, truly. I am very happy with the quality and the curls, most of them are just not black….. Hopefully there will be another natural black fleece arriving later on this year with a last bulk around October, let´s wait and see. Here are my natural colour and handpainted wensleydale beauties that I have distributed in my DaWanda shop(prices in Euros), and my etsy store (prices in US$):
