Candy colors and the deep blue sea

Here comes the October update for my new batches of hand dyed rovings – super fine Merino-Silk, extra fine Polwarth and soft Corriedale in all their splendor! I have taken a healthy dip into my dye bottles :o) The rovings are now displayed in my etsy store All The Pretty Fibers.

Now back to the spinning wheel – I will need to be doing quite some pedalling, there will be a big craft fair in 4 weeks time, and you can never have too many yarns for it! :o)

Exquisitely soft spinning & felting fiber

Super soft and yummy hand dyed polwarth (20 micron) and merino-silk (18 micron) rovings with a rich and vibrant colourway are back in stock at All The Pretty Fibers:

One of my customers nuno felted this absolutely gorgeous mushroom elf jacket with one of my hand dyed super soft merino-silk rovings in oranges and pinks – thank you so much for the pics Joni!!

Everyone, have a very colorful fall season, and Happy Crafting!! :o)

Handspun lace yarn – petals on the water

Here comes my handspun and handpainted lace yarn “Petals On The Water”, a beautifully soft and fine self striping yarn design, now available through my etsy store All The Pretty Fibers, and probably my last handspun lace yarn for the rest of the year. I will need to start preparing for the upcoming fall and winter craft fairs, for which I still have to spin MANY chunky yarn babes. :o)

More Easter colors and a treat

I finished a new batch of hand dyed merino and merino/silk rovings and super fine 18.5 micron merino batts, all buttery soft in fresh and vibrant spring colors, perfect for felting and hand spinning projects. They are listed in my etsy store All The Pretty Fibers

Plus 3 new shades of my 18.5 micron commercially dyed merino rovings (mulesing free) have arrived, Apricot, Mocha and Opal Blue:

Yarn wise there are 2 new colourways of handspun very soft merino yarn in stock, “Sorbet” in rich pinks and purple, and “Poseidon” in breathtaking blues and lagoon teal:

Now I would like to show you the finished Nightshift shawl that one of my german customers made with the yarns I custom spun for her. She kindly sent me some photos (vielen Dank Silke!!) – the shawl is absolutely stunning and so rich in color, have a look:

The pattern for the nightshift shawl can be found on Ravelry (see my blog entry from March 7th), it was created by Andrea Mowry. The yarns and yardage for the shawl are available in various colourways by custom order but I sometimes also have the corresponding yarn sizes available in my etsy store.

Everyone have a wonderful spring season, and Happy Crafting!! :o)
